Inside Addiction’s goals are to raise awareness about addiction and recovery in the Capital Region and in all of New York State, which constituted 17% of the reported addicts in the nation in 2006, to educate people about treatment options, and to help and treat everyone affected by addiction. Inside Addiction will address the sensitive issues surrounding the current epidemic of alcohol and drug addiction.
Gambling has the highest suicide rate among all addictions. This week we taped another episode, "Inside Gambling". We were joined in the studio by John Blowers, the author of Life on Tilt. We discussed gambling addiction, warning signs, triggers, and treatment. John helped us take an inside view from rags to riches and back- if you're lucky enough to make it back.
